For Fans of: Keepsake, Element 101, The Wonder Years, Yellowcard, Punchline and Rufio
Style: In Bloom is a combination of raw guitar with an obvious Pop-Punk influence sprinkled into each and every track. The vocals on the other hand are aggressive with the occasional mellow harmony. Creating a Pop-Rock sound that means business one moment and takes it down a notch the next. Giving way to the bands only consistency, which is a concerted effort to emphasize the lyrics in every track.
Bio: I am influenced, motivated and inspired by so many different things. It’s much different now than it was when I was in high school and first started playing guitar. The world gets bigger as you get older and motivation and influence definitely change. I guess that in one sense I’m motivated by the idea that what I have to say may matter to someone. And that in some way, I could possibly help them through my music. Just thinking of how many bands and writers have helped me, I would love to provide that help to someone else. I also feel that the more I write, the more I realize that writing is how I process life. If I’m not writing and reading I can easily head to a dark place. And I figure that if writing is a part of what makes me myself and it’s how I process and rationalize life then it seems natural to want to share that with others. I would be lying if I said it was all that pure; there is certainly a part of me that’s motivated by proving wrong everyone who ever gave up on me or didn’t think I would amount to much. There’s also a lot of self fulfillment that comes from writing and playing music, some warranted and a lot unwarranted. It’s the clash of nobility and narcissism that I’m always battling. Regardless, I feel absolutely compelled to share my feelings and thoughts with others through my art. |
